PROM IS OVER!  We have had our best prom season ever.  With the addition of our mall location, “The Prom Zone”, we had a great season.  Thank You to all of the people who visited us at both of our locations.

So now we are in full wedding swing.  In a few days we will be making a big promotional announcement.  All of our Berkshire Brides will love it!!

In addition we have begun the adventure of planning our next Bridal Show at Berkshire Hills Country Club.

Come in and see the new fall gown collections that have been arriving daily.  We already have all of our fall Mothers’ gowns in to look at.  Remember you should order 16 weeks prior to your childs’ wedding in order to have the dress arrive in time for alterations and your piece of mind.

We also now have a wide selection of Quinceañera gowns too.

This blog is about your special one time wedding day in which you have only one chance of capturing it.

So you have put an enormous amount of effort in planning your wedding. The gowns, tuxes, cake, D.J. , the reception hall, florist, hair, etc…. all of which add up.

Scenario 1.

Now its time to remember the day. You decided to hire a person who does it part time, out of their home . You knock on the door, no one is there. Then you call countless times and still no answer.  They said they were a professional and had a degree , but you found out they only went to school for less than a year.  What course of action can you take. You’ve paid them up front in cash.

Scenario 2.

Good ol’ Uncle Bob has a really expensive digital camera. He says ” I’ll do it for free” .  You think wow this is great we’ll save so much money. Your wedding day has arrived, Uncle Bob finally arrives and is shooting picture after picture. He is at the church and your’e about ready to say ” I Do ” and out of the crowd a voice asks “Can you move a little I need to shoot the bride” . It’s Uncle Bob asking your Groom to move a little. The formals are ready to be done and it seams like it’s taking forever. No one is listening to Uncle Bob because they’ve heard his voice over and over through out the years. By this time everyone is getting hungry and irritated , probably because you are now 30 minutes late for  your reception you’ve paid $30 a plate for. It can only get worse because Uncle Bob takes advantage of the open bar. Who knows if the pictures will come out or if Uncle Bob remembered to bring a flash card.

I just yesterday,  had a bride in who needed a gown for Friday.  We have a dress for that!  We have a very large selection of gowns that are available for off-the-rack purchases.  And do not forget that at www.Jordanfashions.com you can view an entire collection of gowns that can be ordered in 5 weeks or less.  Remember its always 12 weeks at the most for dress delivery, any store who claims 16 to 20 weeks are probably ordering through another store. That is too many middle men between you and your dresses and no guarantee you’ll get it. We are the only authorized Jordan dealer in the county.

You may be paying too much for tuxedos.  My phone has been ringing off the hook with questions about wedding tuxedo prices.  Through January 30th if you book in stock tuxedos with us,  each member of your party will pay just $89 plus the refundable $30 deposit.  Yes that includes everything from head to toe(except socks and underwear).  If you are paying more than that you are paying way too much!  OH, and of course with 6 or more total rentals the groom is still free.  Calling all Berkshire Grooms…. Don’t get taken by the competition. MENTION THE BLOG TO RECEIVE A FREE GIFT FOR THE BRIDE

So you need a wedding gown do you.  WELL I HAVE ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU COULD WANT.  We just received about 130 Eden gowns sizes 8-30, they are beautiful.  We are now open on Sundays from 11-3.  It is already prom shopping season here(believe it or not girls are hunting and buying).  We are offering an $89 tuxedo special too!  Call for details.  Happy New Year!
